Practise speaking German — even without a partner
Speaking is the least practised skill, because it usually needs another person. That is exactly why it so often decides the result. A simulation solves the problem: you hear the task, record your answer and get it graded.
What counts in the oral exam
- Fluency: do you speak in connected stretches without long pauses?
- Pronunciation: are you easy to understand?
- Interaction: do you respond to questions and to your partner's points?
- Task achievement: do you complete every part of the task?
How a practice exam runs on Lingut
Pick your exam and level, hear the task in a real examiner voice and record your answer. Nothing is ever submitted automatically — you decide when to submit.
You then get a grade per criterion, concrete improvements and, if you want, a retake of the same task for a direct comparison.
How to improve quickly
Record the same task twice: once cold, once after reading the feedback. The gap between the two recordings is where the learning actually happens.
Frequently asked questions
Can I practise speaking German with nobody to talk to?
Yes. An exam simulation takes the examiner's role and grades your recording.
Is my recording stored?
Your recordings and grades go into your learning diary so you can compare progress. You can delete them at any time.
How long should each session be?
Ten to fifteen minutes daily achieves more than one hour at the weekend.
Does this help with exam nerves?
Yes — nerves mostly come from an unfamiliar procedure. Running the procedure several times makes a large difference.
