1. Who you are contracting with
These terms govern your use of Lingut, operated by Lingut AI at deutschtrainer.lingut.ai. By creating an account you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
Lingut provides German exam preparation: practice forms, mock exams, grammar lessons, puzzles, and AI-assisted grading, coaching and speaking practice for Goethe, telc, ÖSD and DSH formats. Content is offered for study purposes. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any examination body, and completing practice material does not guarantee any exam result.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential.
- One account is for one person. Sharing credentials is not permitted.
- You must be at least 16, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Institution, partner and representative accounts are additionally bound by the agreement signed with us.
4. Subscriptions, credits and payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe for the period you select.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from Settings, effective at the end of the current period.
- AI features consume credits. Credit top-ups are one-off purchases and are consumed as used.
- Prices may change with notice; changes never apply to a period already paid for.
5. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting to use the paid service within that period you agree to immediate performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal lapses once the service has been fully performed. Requests: support@lingut.ai.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not copy, resell, scrape or redistribute exam content, lessons or AI output.
- Do not attempt to bypass credit limits, access other users' data, or probe the platform's security.
- Do not submit unlawful, abusive or infringing content, including through the AI assistant.
- Do not use the AI features to generate content unrelated to language learning.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with notice where practicable.
7. AI output
AI-generated scores, corrections and study plans are automated aids. They can be wrong or incomplete and are not a substitute for an official examiner's assessment or for professional advice. You can request human review of any AI grade via support.
8. Availability and liability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance and third-party outages can occur. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and to breaches of essential contractual duties, in which case liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages. Statutory liability for injury to life, body or health is unaffected.
9. Intellectual property
The platform, its software, design and original content remain our property or that of our licensors. You keep ownership of the work you submit, and grant us the limited right to process it in order to deliver grading, feedback and your diary.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes are announced in-app before they take effect. These terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by the law applicable to Lingut AI's place of business, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.
