Progress

From the day you sign up, the question that matters isn’t “what level am I?” but “would I pass if the exam were tomorrow?”

You’d likely pass Lesen, Hören and Sprechen today. Schreiben needs about 8 more points to clear the line.

Not “your German is improving”. A number you can work with.

Most apps estimate your CEFR level. That’s the wrong question once you’ve booked a date. Deutschtrainer answers a sharper one, skill by skill, and puts the line where your exam board puts it.

Four numbers, not one.

An overall score hides exactly the problem that makes you fail. With Goethe, telc and ÖSD each module counts on its own, so each skill is measured on its own too.

Three inputs

Your scores at your target level, how much of that level you’ve covered, and your mock exam results.

Honest about gaps

A skill you haven’t been tested in shows as not assessed, never as zero.

Fair to you

If a skill has no content at your level yet, it’s left out instead of counted against you.

One sentence, one number

The same readiness shows on every page, explained in one plain sentence.

Why the pass line matters more than the level

At Goethe, 90 points in Lesen don’t make up for 55 in Schreiben. Measuring each skill against its own line shows you the one number that decides the result.

Your exam date is fixed. Your preparation shouldn’t be.

Tell Deutschtrainer which certificate you booked and the level you need. From then on, everything points at the day you sit in the exam room.
